Wallpapers for iPhone Duo, outer and inner screen
Two screens, both much squarer than any other iPhone: 1398 × 2034 outside, 1878 × 2670 inside.
Apple lists the iPhone Duo's outer screen at 1398 × 2034 pixels (460 ppi) and the inner screen at 1878 × 2670 (430 ppi). Both are close to 1.4:1, far from the 19.5:9 of other iPhones, so a regular wallpaper loses a good part of its top and bottom on them.
What works: pictures whose subject sits in the middle, and patterns that have no top or bottom. Gradients, contour maps, flow fields and starfields crop well; a landscape with its horizon low does not.
A note on sharpness: the wallpapers here are made 1320 pixels wide, so for the 1878-pixel inner screen the Get it button enlarges them about 1.4 times. Smooth gradients stand that without visible loss; for a perfectly sharp inner-screen file, make a gradient at 1878 × 2670 in the maker.
